Decent resort, good runs. My only complaint is that they have a very poor selection for beginners. The only run to learn on besides a mediocre bunny hill is as steep as a blue run. My boyfriend paid for a lesson which was suppose to be private, since he skied a few times already. Last minute they threw in a couple in who was skiing for their first time. I noticed my boyfriend spent a lot of time waiting for the instructor and the other couple to catch up. He was on his own most of the time on the bunny hill. Into the last hour I was snowboarding down the bigger hill and saw my boyfriend had taken his skies off and was sitting half way down the hill. I asked him where the group was and he said he had been waiting for 20 minutes, and the guy in the lesson was not experienced enough to go down the hill so it was taking forever for them to catch up. My boyfriend was told to just wait for them. We waited another 25 minutes and his group didn’t come down but other instructors who passed us said they were still coming down, just slow and talking a lot. Eventually his lesson was out of time and we decided to just go down on our own and let the ski school know we waited and they never caught up. It was frustrating that half our money was spent sitting waiting for a dumbass pansy to get his ass down the hill, but whatever. The instructor was nice, I don’t think it was his fault. They just need to coordinate experience groups better. It’s not fair to charge customers then not teach them.

I love this hill. It is a paradise for advanced skiers. Terrible for beginners, this is a good hill to push your ability. One warning - it's steep. Stairway to heaven is a must-try for intermediate and better skiers. The view is incredible. The gondola is fast, but if it breaks down then the lower lifts are too slow to be worthwhile for intermediate and better skiers. Lots of traverses that aren't a problem for skiers, but can be a struggle for snowboarders. On-hill accommodations are great.

It's a nice resort with a few stores and shops. Everything is easily accessible. There is a few restaurants and a coffee shop. Parking isn't the best close by if you are walking but if you are skiing/boarding it's better to park further up and ski/board in and out.

Stayed at Glacier Lodge which was at the base of the Gondola. It was a standard suite that you'd expect at any resort. The hot tub was waaaay too small though. You could fit 8-10 people at best. Aside from that, Peaks Grill was awesome. Good food, great service. Line ups for the Gondola were a bit ridiculous but there was an event on the mountain that day. The snow and terrain were fantastic. I'd definitely return.

Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is an incredible ski hill for advanced riders. I would highly recommend it to anyone who can comfortably ski black and double black diamonds. If you can only ski Blue or Green runs I would not recommend coming here, you would simply have a bad time. If you are an advanced rider however this place is incredible!! Almost everything is steep and I mean really steep! Plenty of chutes, cliffs and gullies! Powder for days! Hiking T1 and T2 are totally worth it! There were quite a few runs that had turned into mogul fields so it was a lot of work as a snowboarder. The bottom half of the mountain was groomed but no where near as fun as the top half! This place is amazing definitely come for a visit!!!
