  This might be a good place for a drink after the skiing but take a pass on dinner. My son and I stopped in for dinner and ordered the bbq platter to share. I was pretty clear to sub the 3 bbq wings for 3 hot wings. Of course the food came out with a full order of hot wings. When I pointed out the mistake the waitress looked at me like - oh now I understand what you meant. Anyway she left the wings which were warmed up - but not really hot, not crispy, more mushy and after 5 minutes inedible and were left on the plate. The BBQ ribs were ok but surely nothing to write home about, and the mashed potatoes dry and pasty. At the end of the meal I was surprised to see the full charge of $ 16.00 for the wings we did not order on my bill. No problem, I wasn't in the mood to argue paid the bill, and a tip to boot, I didn't want to create a scene on a rare occasion when father and son get to go out just the 2 of us, but you can rest assured we will not be back. With so many good place to eat in Golden I was sorry we stopped here.

  Western feel and friendly service, with local craft beer on tap, and good eats! Great pub on the hill,with a wood burning fireplace for ski hill ambiance.

  My son agreed we should have stayed in our accommodations and ate the left over Red Tomato Pie pizza we had!

  Went here for supper because it was close to our resort. Sat outside on the patio and got drinks right away, the cesars were delicious. We weren't ready to order yet the waitress said she would be right back. We waited 20 minutes to give our orders and our waitress never came, another one working finally took our order. We got the steak sandwich with mashed potatoes and small margherita pizza, it took over an hour to come and when it finally did it was minuscule portions. The pizza was mediocre, the steak sandwich was delicious but the mashed potatoes were HORRIBLE. They tasted like straight out of the box sawdust potatoes, we couldn't even eat them. After finishing our meal we waited another 20 minutes to pay and finally got fed up and went inside and had to ask the bartender to pay our bill. Absolutely horrible experience, would not recommend. Definitely overpriced for what you get, we left still hungry and frustrated.
